With the bird numbers projected to be down 40% statewide are you going to be changing any huntinng plans, or just heading out no matter what? I know there are areas that really took a beating, but there are still plenty of birds out there. I still think it will be a good season, just might have to hunt a couple more hours to get the limit. ;)

I won't be changing any plans since I plan most of my vacation around hunting season! I'm getting excited to just get outdoors and away from work! I don't do much bird hunting anymore but still get out a few times a year. Just not enough time in the season to go after everything that flies or crawls.

For me, It is really going to depend on how this year goes...its been multiple years since i hunted pheasant, so even with the birds down 40% it will still be better than the last time I hunted them. Plan on sticking close to the river....hoping the water levels haven't ruined some prime hunting locations.

Good luck to you. The river got hammered this year and alot of habitat has been lost. There hasn't been alot of good reports out of there, but some.
